Advice needed on axle removal - 1998 V70 Auto

We have a rude saying over here it's about your penis and your head, it describes me perfectly.
Reason the shaft wouldn't come out and I ended up somehow splitting it was I didn't take the saddle clamp off.
Photo 1 is how it looks now, photo 2 is how it came out of the car.
Hard works done the easy stuff is getting it all back together.
Many many thanks for all the tips and the tutorial video on You tube
Who needs a Haynes manual when I've got you guys :D :D

All back together, quick test drive and all seems OK, booked in for it's re-test Monday.

Failed it's test on:
Corroded brake disc
Handbrake below specs
CV boots
Exhaust bracket
Tyre damaged.

Re-test this morning, passed :D
