I've got a 1995 960 with a drivers seat that doesn't move. I would love to pull the seat out and look to trace wires and connectors, but... it doesnt MOVE to get to the back seat bolts. So, I have several connectors under the seat that are empty.
There is also a 20"-22" 4 wire jumper that is connected to nothing! Help does anyone have a description of what wires should be there and what they connect too? I See a module with 3 motors and a separate green wire bundle from each.
Those three bundles then are bundled to 1 larger green wire bundle. But where that terminus should goto I just cant see

Ok, looks like the control module is missing??!!! So if I can find a control module for the 3way seat, does anyone have a recommendation as to how to get the control box back under the seat if I can't move the seat to access the seat bolts?

I have found a couple of modules but they are for other year 900s... If the plug shapes and locations are the same is it safe to assume that they are the same even though the numbers on the module itself are different??

There is a difference 96 and later and up to 95. 96 and later can only be calibrated or code read with a scan tool and the 95 and down is programmed and code read with the wire in the correct hole in underhood unit.
Look at wiring diagram in the repair database on this site and use power and ground jumpers to the correct wires to move the fore-aft motor and to lift via front tilt motor.

Can anyone confirm or deny that this seat module (drivers side left front power seat module # 9174906 from a 98 s90 or 98 s70 or 98 v70 wagon) will work in my '95 960 Sedan. I'm very tempted to try because the four plugs under the seat are an exact match.
The original part has an interchangeable part # of 591.VO1W95

It looks like that part number fits 850's S/V 90, S/V/C 70 back to '96 but not the 960. Look at this link:

I am studying a similar problem on an earlier car. Keep us posted. Good luck.

I purchased a module plugged in all 4 connectors. And nothing.
Someone told me that the module may need to be "introduced" to the main computer. I guess it's some sort of initialization process.
Any one heard if this?
How is this accomplished?

New or replacement seats or control modules must be calibrated by moving them to their limit positions. This is done using the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) unit in the engine compartment.
The attached from VADIS gives you the information you need to do this:
