engine mount: does the bushing thread...

...into torque arm.

There is a visible tear, it is deep. Started the task which requires replacing the bushing. The torque rod is off, but removing bushing is difficult as hell, hand sawing the hardest rubber to loosen its grip. I am not close, but the back is killing me.

The new replacement bushing is sitting in the freezer.I have gathered clamps to squeeze it in, if I ever get there.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

If you are asking for how to get the bushing out, the easiest way I have found is to hand saw it then yard on it with big pliers or vise grips etc. Not sure how that can cause back fatigue, can you explain? Sorry not sure how to help

Cut it first then whack it out, it comes out quite easily that way

Last one I changed was with the iPd HD Poly mount. No press needed with that one.

I was planning on using the pipe flange, washer, nut with a long bolt, and liquid soap as suggested in one of the MVS post JRL.

If there is a tool, would you point me to it? Would McKennaR lend me one?

Popular view at MVS favors rubber, many recommend rubber bushing Robert, therefore, replacing it with Volvo OE.

Using that method works fairly well. Freeze the bushing overnight and lube it with soapy dishwater before trying to install it.
