Need A/C help in Dallas, TX
A/C on my 1997 850 stopped working. The fan runs fine, the light comes on when I flip the switch for a/c, but no cold air. Appears the compressor is not kicking on. I tried to add freon but since the compressor isn't running it won't take the freon. I've tried turning on a/c when stopped, low rpms and high rpms, but nothing. I can generally fix anything on my 850, but the a/c system has always been a mystery. I'm turning to the good people on this site because you've always been a goldmine of information to me and others in helping us fix our own cars. I've lost my job and money is extremely tight BUT I always abide by the Golden Rule and look for ways to helps those who help me. Can you help me out?
