V70 No dash lights and running sluggish

My fathers V70 in the last three days;first sign was transmission thudding into gear for two days , seemed nothing too serious but maybe time for trans service. Then today, 50% of the cars electrical alarm,dash,door locks do not work or lite up. The car will start and run smoothly, but cannot accelerate with almost no power behind it. How or what happened?! The check engine light is on as well. Checked and pulled all fuses. Pulled all relays and reinserted. Same results. Half dead.

hm never heard of something like this before... do the dash lights work sometimes or just not at all? may be an issue w/ the switches on the key thing.

try jiggling the key back and forth a bit while it's on to see if you can get the dash lights back

otherwise it could be a ground connection somewhere, or maybe a relay you missed (im not too familiar with the electrics on p2)
