2002 S80 T6 Code P0014 Camshaft Position Sensor
2002 S80 T6 Code P0014 Camshaft Position Sensor
Hello, I have a 2002 S80 T6 with 195,000 miles on it. My check engine light is on and one code reads "P0014 Camshaft Position Sensor". The engine seems to be running fine, no visible smoke that I can see from exhaust. If the camshaft position sensor is not replaced can it affect the catalytic converter and damage it? Also how hard is it to replace the camshaft position sensor. any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

That code has many causes that are NOT cam sensor related. VVT or VVT solenoid issues or a timing belt thats jumped a tooth. VVT issues are more common that actual sensor issues. Depending on whats happening, a VVT or a cam sensor issue may cause harder cold starting, minor roughness while warming up and slightly increased fuel consumption.
