this car has wrecked me

Post by jemine-82 »

i got a 2002 v70 cheap. apart from a turbo problem that led to overheating ,all was fine. changed the turbo and it worked fine. then one day, it just stopped revving. changed MAP sensor, TBPS, coils, plugs, injector etc. strange thing is only P0443 comes out of the scan. starts up when cold and sometimes revvs for less than 3mins. but once car is hot, doesnt even startup. any ideas?

Check the fuel pressure.
Tire valve style pressure test port on the end of the aluminum fuel rail for the injectors.

It sounds like you replace part$ hopping that they will fix our problem. There is nothing wrong with replacing a faulty part with a operational part. The hard part is determining what part is faulty. Turbo leading to overheating, please explain....

Have you done a compression test? How about check the exhaust pressure before and after the cat? Also check the exhaust pressure before the Turbo, if you can.

P0443 indicates a problem with the evap control purge valve, possibly sticking open or sticking shut. What happens if you run the engine for a couple minutes until it starts to act up, then open the gas cap? Is there a rush of air either into or out of the tank?
