ECU (R and R)

Hi

I recently bought a 2001 V70 which is the first Volvo I owned.
I am a very good do it yourself(DIY) individual that have been using this site since I purchased the vehicle.
All have been going fine until I decided to pull the ECU to check the connection, due to the performance of the
sweetish baby. I figured if I was not replacing the computer it would not be a problem to remove it and reinstall it to
see if that would clear the glitch that I had in the acceleration.

When I reinstalled the ECU and went to start the V, I noticed that the check engine light did not appear on the dashboard
when the key was in position 2 and never started when I tried.

I hooked my scantool up (Equus) and the device did not detect the ECU.

Can anyone point me somewhere and please be nice LOL.

There are two violet latch pieces that slide to the front simultaneously to remove and those have to go the rear to latch it back in place.
They are at the rear of the ECM base. two long slender (8 inches at least) blade screwdrivers have worked for me.

There is one issue that I am having is that the vehicle propel forward when I accelerate between 1200 - 1500 RPM.
Can you help me out with that one, because it is the reason I removed the ECU thinking there was a power surge
in the loop.
It did not work. I also tried the used ECU that I bought with the same part# and that did not start the car, so
I put back the old one and it worked.
