1996 960 trunk deck removal how to do it?

How do I remove the trunk deck on a 1996 960 - I want to swap the entire deck - my daily driver has a dent... my parts car doesn't... thanks...

open the truck.

Remove the cloth covering the intenals in the truck lid.
remove the wiring harnes from connectors.

Remove the 4 12mm screws holding the lid on this is support on its own has 2 hooks in the brakets so this can be done as one person.

I own a 1990 960 and 1995 960 Polar Wagon

I love mine both of them, these are kinda rare in my county. i love driving mine every time i turn the key and hear the 3l engine come to life its brings a smile to my face and the ride it gives its unbeliverble from a 22 year old car with close 500.000miles on the orginal drive train. only the doors have been replace with 4 brand new and a headgasket

they are rare here too.. Hard to get parts that's why I picked up another car same year for parts... Any tips on winter snow driving? I'm going to put on 4 studded tires... do you work on your car yourself? you're in Denmark I see?

still haven't got to the trunk project yet.. changed rear brakes and put in a better exhaust system - from cat back had a shop use a oem back muffler and glass back for middle resonator worked out well $212. total... installation and parts...

question on the trunk project should i swap out the key latch/lock? I only have a vallet key for each of my cars - no remote...

how is the lock swapped if I go that route?
