Putting vacuum lines back together

Post by ptaylor-01 »

Hi All,

I'm wrapping up a head gasket job on my base model 96 850. I used the tutorial here: Volvo 5-cylinder: How to Replace the Head Gasket, which so far has worked out well.

I have a few things different on my vehicle compared to his, such as I have no EGR in the intake manifold for example.

So, I didn't take nearly enough photos, so now I'm not sure where a couple of things get connected.

For example, I have this photo of what looks like a plastic vacuum tube sticking up, and I have another green arrow pointing to a vacuum port on the air box.

Anybody know what those are supposed to attach to?
A small connector came off the port on the air box with a small diameter length of plastic vacuum tube, I also found another connector that had broken off of something. It looks about the same size, so maybe it's for the other end of plastic tube, but what does it connect to? I have more but wanted to start with these, thanks.

thanks, the helps. it looks like the vacuum port on the air box runs to the other side of the air box, where there are 2 vacuum ports.
anybody know what the second vacuum port on the other side of the air box connects to? thank you.
