While I'm not a complete car moron, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to replace the position light that is contained within the headlight unit (the small yellow bulb on the extreme side of the headlight unit).
Can anyone post step by step instructions for me? And I just have to ask... does the bumper actually have to come off for me to replace this freaking thing? And if so... WHY... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY?
Ahem. Uh, yeah... anyway thanks for your help.
How the %$@! do you change a position light on 2005 S60 2.5T

The bumper absolutely has to come off to change this bulb.
NOT! It's not too hard. the bulb twists in perpendicularly to the head lamp assembly. On the corner, you will see it on the inside of the engine compartment. On the passenger side you have to remove the fill tube for the washer fluid.

It is in fact on the passenger side. Fill tube for the washer fluid? That doesn't sound too daunting. I'll take another look at it tonight. Thank you brother!

Still need help on this guys. This is NOT the turn signal bulb, it's the position light that is at the extreme side of the headlight unit. Looks like a very small bulb. I removed the fill tube for the washer unit and pulled the turn signal bulb out - but I still don't see any way to get at this position light bulb. Am I missing something? Does the bumper in fact need to come off? Thanks.

You're looking at bulb number 1, correct?
Like I said, its there, just gotta look above the turn signal bulb. You may need to get in there with a light and take a look. It's not hard to do, just takes some patience.

Ah-HA! Thank you very much! Yes, it was bulb number one I was after. There is a long piece of flat white plastic that sticks out which you have to turn, and that is the housing. It's actually pretty easy once you know what you are looking for, what threw me is that the wires were going down past the plastic piece and I was trying to work my fingers around it - not realizing that the flat plastic "stick" was the housing itself. Thanks for keeping me on the right track (and my bumper on my car)! You da man.
