Substantial Tailpipe Upgrade

Post by byeboy »

My 850R has 178,000 miles, and the rectangular tailpipe extension is beginning to look mighty shabby.

Image

...and I could not find another rectangular extension of the same dimensions...most are too small in final aspect...BUT in my searching, I came across THIS Stainless Steel Beauty!...A Full 5 1/2" in diameter!!

Image

It was too long, so I had to trim it with my Dremel Tool, but then that made it way too large for the tail pipe itself, so I slipped it over the pipe, then secured it with Pop Rivets on the lower portion, then stuffed wadded-up aluminum foil (its fireproof!) around the pipe gap, then sprayed it all flat black inside, to give it a professional look...

Image

What dop you think? Pretty snappy, eh?
How does it sound?...well, pretty much like a Cow "Mooing" when I get on it!
...and for those of you who have stayed with it this long, this is just a Photoshopped Spoof to break up the gloom of your mechanical miseries that may have brought you here.

'Hope you understand the levity, Matt! :)

I didn't think you'd really use a Dremel tool on that.
