92/940/GL -non/trb wont start

Hi all, my 92/940 gl was getting harder to start, so I replaced fuel pressure regulator,cleaned TBI unit, replaced all bad rubber vac. hoses, fuel filer,check valve,cleaned out flame trap, Air temp. sensor, checked fuel pump its ok! I replaced it 35,000 miles ago !!! I can spray alittle starting fluid in the air filter hose, and it starts but stalls? Oh yes removed injectors inspected and cleaned then replace, checked fuel relay it dash click when I turn key to start; I can hear fuel pump! thanks in advance for any advice on this issue

Have you measured your fuel pressure? A messy but effective way ( I did not say safe) is to disconnect the line at the pump, and turn the ignition. If gas tries to hit the roof of your wagon, its probably good. If it only sprays 12 inches or so, and you know your fuel pump is good, try this:

I had a similar problem on my 93 rex/regina 940. Pull the fuel pump, and you will see a small orange device that looks a little like a toy brake fluid reservoir. I think it is called a fuel pressure compensator or something like that. Remove it, and replace it with an appropriate sized piece of fuel line. Install hose clamps. Reinstall.

By the way, I drove my car for an additional 290,000 AFTER removing this device. I don't think it will hurt your car to drive without one.

Thank you everyone!!! The issue was the radio suppressor! replaced the bad one, it fired right up!!! also replace bad map sensor.. old" gal" is purrinnn like a kitten... 349000 miles and on to the next one!!!!
