Leaks

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Leaks

Post by constructman »

I have a 1999 S80 Volvo. I just noticed the carpet damp with a brown substance under the dash on the console wall. Not heavy wet, but pressing with your fingers, you can see it on your fingers. Using a paper towel the color is light brown.

Also, I need to change my power brake booster due to air leakage. How can I tell which one to purchase ?

Sounds like your heater core has developed a leak, common problem with s80s of that vintage. (and s70s and what have you)
Check your coolant level!

The Orings sometimes fail on these. With a bit of luck that all it is. Someone posted a guide on replacing the heater core orings in a S80 in the last year or so.
