Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2000 S80 Dash, Driver Seat & AC not working

Post by pksarkar »

Hi Guys,

I had left my 2000 S80 garaged for 6 months (Battery disconnected) while on a overseas project. When I had left the battery was on it's way out so bought a new battery yesterday and reconnected the car. It started on the first try but noticed that the dash was blank. While checking that I also noticed that the climate control and Driver Seat were also not working. Have checked all the fuses and they are all good. Had a look at the wiring diagram and fuse 24 seems to connect to all the things not working. But the fuse is fine, can the relay be an issue?

I have read the well documented DIM issues, but can't find any mention of it also affecting the driver seat. I have also tried locking/unlocking sequence. The car is running smooth and during the test drive behaved normally.

Can anyone point out a probable cause for this. Since wife's using the other car, I need this working asap.

Cheers,

Does your car have a sunroof? IIRC the lack of a functioning sunroof+ the other symptoms can possibly be the alarm module. (I helped a friend turn around her 99 s80 t6 that was problem after problem)

Disconnect the battery. Press the brake pedal with ignition on. Turn key to pos II and reconnect battery. How's that now?

Hi,

Tried the brake pedal sequence and it didn't work. I was reading the manual and there is a relay connected in that circuit. Can someone point out which relay and where is it located?
