1995 850Glt (AT) cuts out

my '95 Glt volvo 850 has a new problem.. the car would start normally making me think everything is normal(both from cold and hot start) then while accelerating the check engine light flashes and the engine cuts out and the car lacks throttle.. then its back to normal.. because the check engine light flashes I cant identify what the problem is.

the distributor cap and rotor is only 2 yrs old.

spark plug wires are new and genuine maf is 2 yrs old

spark plugs are new too


any toughts?

You can't pull any codes?

thanks for the reply beiner,

I didnt know we could pull codes from the dtc box even the check engine light isnt on.. so today I found out that the reason of engine shudder was the A6 dtc code 2-1-4 rpm sensor signal sporadic.. I resetted the dtc the car was normal all day and by the evening the shuddering came back with the 2-1-4 code.. so I now believe my rpm sensor is bad.. I will find another one from ebay and try that one..
