ECC light flash after dead alternator

During summer the alternator died and so did the battery. After replacing both I have noticed that a-c off and rec lights flash for 20 sec on start-up...But everything was fine, fan works fine at any speed and I can direct air from any vents.

Until this morning....because it is geting cold up-here (Canada that is), now I know why it flashes, I have no heat coming in, just cold air.

This problem started with a dead battery and dead alternator while driving. Coolant is ok, temp gage is normal.

Looks like a damper is stuck on cold air or something, and it is the same thing on both driver and passenger sides.

I don't know if a home-made code reader for your ECC will help, but it certainly helped me on my 1997 855:

No,it should be fully obdII system.

I'd cancel the order...both with them and with whomever you used to pay through....then I'd report them to ebay for advertising/selling a product they do not have..

I got my Vida & Dice, it took only 4 days with DHL. But I did not make it work yet, I am struggling with the software installation. I borrowed a laptop from work and will try with a different computer this week-end.

When you select the directory to run the patch to, don't select the Vida folder. Just run the patch to the root drive of C
