sweet.. thats my plan.. I checked most of the areas you circled.. I cant wait.. Hope i get as lucky.. I had a radiator plug give once on a GM supercharged motor blow. My girlfriend at the time was driving and she did not stop till she got home. I was so mad at her, could have blown the HGs but it didnt.. $2.00 part... Well Ill see what I find..
Thanks again man...

Here is a link to about 31 pics and videos... https://plus.google.com/photos/11155714 ... 622668625I only see it leaking right along the HG mainly under the driverside manifold.. I believe this is a head gasket leak based on what I can see.. One question is would there be a freeze plung near the driver side ex. manifold? I can see the leak under that side, no clear signs of a bad block..
Thoughts now that I can see the leak???

That's pretty effed up! So yeah you have a cam cover leak for sure LOL.
I just can't believe that water can leak so quickly and easliy without being under pressure from a busted head gasket like that. Are you sure its not leaking somewhere else and running down the head?
How convinced are you that the leak is actually coming from the gasket area... Were you able to find and examine that pipe/flange at the front of the head behind the camshafts. It could be leaking there and be running along the head. Its the circle on the far left of the pic I posted earlier.

The leak is big enough....maybe you could pressurize the cooling system with air from a compressor (Do not exceed 20PSI, maybe set regulator at 15) and see if you can verify the source of the leak that way. A flexible tube to your ear (PCV\washer fluid line) and start listening around under there.

Once I get the video going you can see me pour water in and see it start leaking there and dripping down on everything.. I did inspect all pipes and they look fine.. I can't believe it either... but tht SOB is leaking between the block and head.. I can put my finger where it leaks and divert the water stream...

I'm going to run a compression test, drain oil , check plugs, and pressure test coolant system today. I'm also going to try to remove what I can from the head without bothering the cams.. looking for the cam lock I will need.. its the one that fits between he cam gears correct? Is there another tool needed for reassembling??? I also obtained a copy of VADIS so that should help..

You cant do anything with the camshaft cover without removing the cams. The cam bearings are part of that cover, as soon as you pull it off the top half of the cam bearings come with it. So, you will need to remove the timing belt first. I don't think you will need the cam lock tool for removal, but for reassembly you will something or you will drive yourself nuts trying to get everything hooked up again. Don't ask me why I know this.
No the tool you need does NOT lock the cams at the sprocket end, it locks the cams at the rear of the motor at the end where the camshaft position sensor lives.

UPDATE: It’s been a good while since I had time to work on the T6 between work family and school... I had the time this weekend to get the head off and see what I’m working with. It was not as bad as anyone would think just by looking at the job, but I would say I’m a good 5 to 6 hours in. he head is off to the machine shop and I only had time to do a quick clean up on the block and head so far to check things out. I have a link below to the outcome of what I found. I will organize and sort them later but they are all there of what I was able to take.
The removal was not bad even though I skipped around a few steps such as removing the turbos, cats and coolant pipe... The two tight spots were the last 3 bolts driver side on manifold #2 and the two bolts where the coolant pipe connects to the head... none the less I got them out with detemination and about 10 minutes each...
I planned on getting a HG kit only but after the removal I discovered that the water pump does not turn freely and also squeaks, so I will replace it along with a timing belt kit... I do have timing questions for when I reinstall the head cams and etc... I basically want to make sure I have the block at TDC and start from 0 and set the timing up right... just want to make sure its right and set the VVT up correctly... Check out the pics and please leave advice and suggestions... Thanks
