I have a 2006 S60 with 114k miles with a bit of an oil sludge problem (not severe).
Replaced the PCV system and flushed the engine with Liqui Moly - no chunks came out...
Also now change the oil every 3k miles and use Pennzoil Platinum.
Got OBD Code P0027 on it a few times and replaced the variable valve timing solenoid.
The old one actually did not look too bad when I took it off & the sieve located in the gasket was clear.
Problem is that I still get the same check engine fault code!!
I will appreciate any insight in terms of where to look next to try and fix this issue.
Thanks,
Johan

Same thing here. Replaced the solenoid and gasket and still getting the error code.
I realize this is 2+ years on, but how did you resolve the issue?
