2001 XC70 Daytime Running Lights

Post by iguanas4me »

Hi Guys: I'll bet this has been addressed previously. I recently acquired a 2001 XC70. It has the daytime running headlight setup, which I personally dislike.
Is there a procedure to defeat the running lights and return the headlight switch to "normal" operation?
Many thanks - much appreciated !

Jeff :)

If it's anything like the older ones, look for a flathead screw on the same panel as the headlight control. It isn't a screw, it's a switch, turn it full counterclockwise.

Thanks, but that wonderful arrangement had gone the way of the Dodo by 2001. Totally different system now.

You will need a Dice setup and VIDA on your computer to turn them off. Once you get all of that, it's very simple to do. Took me longer to connect to the car then to turn off the DRLs on my 02
