94 850 Turbo w/6 disc changer in trunk

Post by TheWagles »

put a cd into my 6 disc changer (it is a Volvo 6 disc changer) in the trunk and I could not get it to work. When I press the CD button on the radio, nothing comes up. It's as if it isn't connected. The previous owner stated it works. This is the first time I have attempted to use it. Any trouble shooting tips?

This happens to me sometimes also. What I usually do is eject and re-insert the cartridge. If not, on each side of the cd changer there are some little metal pins you can slide so you can install the cd changer at different angles. Try changing the settings, and see if that helps, and you could check to see if its disconnected.

Hi, simple question but have you pulled the headunit out and made sure all the cables are firmly attached? Could be just a loose plug either on the back of the HU or maybe at the changer?

Cheers,
