Final out come:
Bad intake manifold gasket! It was on the bottom and had no audible whistle or sucking noise.

You said you had compression, so it wasn't an o2 issue n the manifold. If the injector was fine, and the cylender was dry... Was the gas leaking out of the manifold or into a neighboring intake/cylendar? Would you say there was a backfire, sensor codes or excessivly hot cat? could you smell gas?

Just curious.
