I have a 2002 Volvo V70 XC Wagon. Yesterday, the visual alarm signal began going on for no reason. It stays on for approximately 5 minutes , its happen once when i come back from work or at work , Any idea as to what might be causing this and/or how to fix it?

If you purposely trip alarm, does the siren module work? There is a common problem with the battery in them leaking, yours is well into the age that could be happening at. If the siren doesn't work when the alarm goes off I would almost certainly consider that, although I would consider it fairly likely anyway...

I didn't understand your problem at first. Now I do. The siren is in the RF wheel well. its behind the plastic fender liner bolted to the body. It is mounted with a break away bolt. So to remove, you'll have to get creative.
