Tire Fitment help

Post by awdsubaru »

I have searched through this forum, and it seems like a ton of of us have different tire sizes, and some rub with full wheel lock. I have a 01' V70 2.4T ( No tranny issues :D )

I recently finally got myself a set of pegs, and am considering what size tires to get. I did have a set of 17 t5 rims, with 235/45/17. and they rubbed with full wheel lock, on the plastic fender wells. This bothered my wife, to the point she bothered me!

So I used this as an excuse to sell them, and get pegs SO now I have a set of 18's, and wonder which of you guys have 18's on your v70's, and what size tire are you running?

I want a tire size that won't rub.

Thanks for the help!

My car is a 2004 V70 fwd. The stock set were 17" amaltheas wearing 235/45-17's, and they rubbed. Right now I have 18" pegs that I bought used wearing 225/40-18's....no rub at all. This is a slightly undersized tire, though.
