Cluster Issues

Post by emm »

Hi All,

As you may be aware i am replacing the cluster on my 1996 to a VDO with trip computer,

However i have come up against a few issues, i plugged the cluster in and the trip computer worked but half the lights didn;t work.

So unplugged it and changed the lights then the fun started. The trip computer no longer works, when you disconnect the battery the cold light comes on but then it just defaults to the clock and no MPG ETC works or is displays.

Added to this no fuel gauage light works, no ABS light, no tacho, no fuel gauge, no speedo.

However when i plug the old one back in all works fine.

Any ideas?

Andy

I'm thinking that the reason why the trip computer isn;t working is because it isn;t getting a signal from the cluster. As a result can not calculate MPG ETC
