I don't currently have any car work that needs to be done (that's a lie, there is always something to be done!), but it's probably a good idea for me to build up some general karma. If you need an extra pair of hands and you're somewhere near Mountain View - just give me a shout, I'd be glad to get some extra practice.

I need help diagnosising a problem with the ac/heater fan. I can no longer hear the motor running and there is no air being forced into the passenger cabin. I checked Haynes Volvo Service manual and did a google, finding out that there are several things that could be wrong. Thanks.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. My Mom died a week after I received your message and my Uncle died 5 days after that. My life is just now getting back in order.

I had the same problem on my 2000 s80. After all the research I found that the most common problem was the Blower Motor Resistor. Just replaced it on 07/29/13 and now it works great. Now I just have to put the all the Glove Box and Lower Panels back together.
