Silicon Valley Helper/Helpee
I don't currently have any car work that needs to be done (that's a lie, there is always something to be done!), but it's probably a good idea for me to build up some general karma. If you need an extra pair of hands and you're somewhere near Mountain View - just give me a shout, I'd be glad to get some extra practice.

I need help diagnosising a problem with the ac/heater fan. I can no longer hear the motor running and there is no air being forced into the passenger cabin. I checked Haynes Volvo Service manual and did a google, finding out that there are several things that could be wrong. Thanks.

Are you still looking to fix this? Sorry for the late reply!

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. My Mom died a week after I received your message and my Uncle died 5 days after that. My life is just now getting back in order.
Yes, I do need help!
thanks,

I had the same problem on my 2000 s80. After all the research I found that the most common problem was the Blower Motor Resistor. Just replaced it on 07/29/13 and now it works great. Now I just have to put the all the Glove Box and Lower Panels back together.
