Just curious, why are you replacing it? Does the old one have a break that isn't evident in the pic?

Yes, older V70 and 850 are the same. They have the same engines.

Yes, it cracked right above the O-ring. I put it back just for the purpose of the photo op.

thank you for the picture, my is a 96 - 850 GLE old volvo and the dipstick just broke tonight and the part number is 3528064. The max and min mark fits with your new one min mark just a bit more than 18.5 inches and max below 19.5 inches...I guess I will have to try to make it to the volvo dealership to see if they have one on hand on Monday. Meanwhile, I am gluing the broken handle (just above the black o-ring) with goop....and hopefully after 12 hours it should hold till Monday...
