2001 V70XC - preparing for 140K-mi service

Post by xHeart »

Timing belt component, water pump, and thermostat were added to the list.

Looking at the engine bay I find hints of engine oil under the cam-cover, it is circled in red. So I want to remove the screws holding the cam-cover and diagnose, arrows in green, but the charged-air hose is right over the two green screws.

The charged-air hose is connected with a clamp at either end, and screwed on with torx-20 to hold it in place. Hence, i ask, would removing items with red arrow, and then installing it back cause any issue, clamps in particular?

The oil is likely due to a bad seal on the oil cap.

Can't see your pic, but the charge pipe is easy to pull; just loosen the 2 clamps and remove the two torx screws. Then you'll be able to pull the plastic covers.
