Looking for decent Volvo parts supplies in/to Australia

Post by GDavid »

Hoping the thread is not going to upset the mods.

I am very happy with the service we get at Ronton Automotive in Stepney (South Australia). However, I'd like to be able to source parts in Australia or a company that can ship to me here.

Our 850 wagon is getting on in years, but I'd like to get a few odds and sods for the old girl as she was such a nice drive on a recent interstate trip we've decided to keep her a while longer given the small amount of milage we cover each year...

Any ideas from the forum members?

Regards,
Dave

Post edit...
I found this company on ebay with the exact mirror I needed here but they don't ship internationally... Will try to remember to remove the link later when it is offline...

Dave,
I buy a lot of my parts from IPD, FCPEuro, and some from RockAuto, and I have been pretty happy with all three.

I couldn't see on IPD's site if they ship to Australia, but as all three of these are pretty decent sized companies, I would imagine they ship internationally.

Good luck with the 850! Sounds like a good car.
Jim.

Hi GDavid....just seen your post and by now you will probably have bought some parts.
I have used FCP successfully for several years but have just bought some front calipers off Amazon as they did not require a core charge. Could not get brake hoses from Amazon so used Forwardit USA personal shopping service to purchase for me along with a new heater core from Ebay.
For rhd parts I have used http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/ in the UK.
Good to hear Rontons is OK, I use Povey's but they are down to 1 mechanic so wonder how long they will keep going.

Yes...Tolleys Rd St Agnes, Chris the mechanic loves his 850's and is an expert on them.
I think Peter the other mechanic left and went to Ronton's, he is a big bear of a man and
will seek him out if Povey's fold(if I can't find were Chris goes).
