after reading this post i have a few questions myself. i am a mechanic by trade and althou i do not work on volvo often i have done several head gasket jobs and a few burnt valve jobs in the past but nothing ever to do with the pcv system. in the shop were i work i have acces to every size clamp, hose, copper line , i whant and a bunch of like new elbows and assorted piping from changed engines and so on. so now that i see you can just clean the oil trap out what else would i need to order to do the job that i dont have at the shop other than the intake gasket?

From cn90's post on the first page:

8653339...short hose to engine block...$5.85
1271653..hose to engine block... qty = 1; $8.76
1271654..hose to top of engine... qty = 1; $21.24

These three are more specialized hose shapes, you likely don;t have one on hand to fit but I don't know. Anyway, these are the three parts worth buying new from Volvo. Don't buy crappy aftermarket ones. Two are hoses from the trap to the block, they get hot and oily you don't want them to wear out.

The only other incidental I can think of is a paper throttle body gasket, in case you want to remove and clean that while you have the IM off.
