You need to fix the vacuum leaks and replace the PCV system. The tube to the turbo will stop that car in it's tracks all day long.

Tear in the intercooler hose is tricking the car into running richer than it should. That is metered air it's blowing out.

The PCV system as well should be refitted. Cn90 made a post using a piece of heater hose that's a lot less expensive than the OEM hose.

Do lights, etc flicker when you turn? I'm wondering if there's a bad ground connection somewhere. On level ground, hook a voltmeter to the battery terminals and try turning the wheel. See what happens to the voltage.

Also I noticed today it stalling out in the parking lot at work while trying to make a hard right turn. It did not do it turning left. After straightening the wheel it went away, causing a few misfires until I got the car rolling better. Does that throw up any flags?

You must keep the gas tank at least 1/4 full for now! Low gas can kill the fuel pump.

Paper clip is fine for short-term use.
A jumper wire is very very cheap. Go to autoparts store and buy it for $2 (fuse included).
Then buy the spade connectors ($2 for a package of 20) and use a vise-grip to crimp the ends.
The guys at the autoparts store can even do it for you.

I was at the parts store the other day trying to get a short hose for a Lexus PCV valve, when they didn't have it, I asked if they had a short/small water or heater hose that I could use and the guy said that the gases in the PCV system would deteriorate the hose in a matter of a few weeks and start leaking. Not sure if that's a good idea.

The guy at your parts store did not know what he was talking about.

A rubber hose, whether you call it heater hose or trans cooler hose, is made from the similar (if not the same) material.
So the same hose can carry coolant and ATF and oil.
I have been using the so-called "heater hose" on all kinds of jobs in engine for 25 years, zero problems.
The bottom line is rubber hose can carry:
- coolant
- oil
- ATF
