Fuel/intake problem.... i guess?

Post by zachlandreth89 »

So here lately, every once in awhile, when I'm driving my 850 it jumps like its running out of gas almost. If I press the gas pedal down to the floor it jumps hard and wont pick up RPMs or speed, it just jumps/skips hard. I'm pretty sure its not a transmission issue. I know its not much to go off of but any help on this would be appreciated.

Where is your 850 on the Stage 0 spectrum? Stage 0 being basic Volvo Tune Up items.

By jumping you mean bucking? Is the behavior more likely when the temperature (ambient air temp, not the 850) drops? Has the fuel been run down to bare minimum/fumes lately?

Thanks for the reply! My g/f filled it 87 octane And I'm guessing the engine did not agree with it. After I refilled the tank with 93 it runs good no power loss
