Bad transmission solenoid?

Bad transmission solenoid?

New to Volvos and jumped in with both feet.

2003 S60 2.5t, from stop position to starting I have high RPM but low speed (kinda like on a manual when you have too much clutch in). All the other gears shift smooth and normally.

Mechanic thinks its the Torque Converter Solenoid, but we can't find anywhere to buy one for the s60. Any advice for a newby?

I'm having a similar issue with an 850 it acts like its in second before finally engaging into 1st gear then drives fine. I've ran 2 drain and refills with no change. My next step is to check electrical parts like the solenoids,TPS,TCM etc. I will chime in to your post if there's a fix out there. Goodluck
