Radio backlight repair. Now sound on only left side of car!

I repaired all the backlight a on my radio. Everything came out great, I put and wires back into their respected holes. Turn the radio back on and all I get is sound from the left side of the car. All rightside speakers have no sound and I can figure out why. I even tried take them out and reinstall them again. Can anyone shed some light on this matter.

Let's start with the basics: Which radio? Did you check the balance L-R setting?

It's easy to mess up those ribbon cable connections. Look at them real close and make sure they are connected properly.

The radio is 1998 xc70 standard issue. I cant see anywhere on the radio a L and R button would be. Rspi what ribbon cable are you referring to. The blue one behinde the faceplate or the cable connections behinde the radio?

For L-R pull the volume knob.
