I recently pulled a five speed tranny, clutch, pressure plate, shifter, linkage, pedal. Everything is there for the swap. It came out of a 94 wagon with 182000 miles. Was going to use it in my 96 855 turbo but have decided now is not the time for it and I really could use some extra money. I am in Madison VA. If anyone wants to make an offer be my guest

I am not an expert mechanic, but I will attempt any repair. Worst case scenario is I screw it up worse than it was.

I also have a 94 855 turbo wagon with a bad transmission but I have another good AW5040 to replace it with. I would consider the labor of removing and installing the auto in the 94 as an even trade for the 5 speed swap parts.
