I've read about bad damages to engine due failure of timing belt....I sure don't want that happening to me!!! Shall I take my 2002 XC to the mechanic to change it? I just want to have a safe car, but dont want to spend thousands if I dont need to....please advise......
Additionally..I guess that's all I may expect to fail from my loved green-gray beautiful car
Mine is 35,000K Shall I look for a time belt replacement?

On a 2002, the TB change is at 105K miles. You might be prudent and to it at an even 100K miles, but at 35K miles, it has many more to go before you need to change it.
