New to own a Volvo and new to this forum. Hoping to find some advice on trouble shooting a problem. This is a 97' 850 glt turbo wagon. The air doesn't work. The only that works is the heater, but the fan only works with a togle switch that someone installed. I would like to get this back to original specs but don't know where to begin with trouble shooting?? can anyone give me some advice. thanks.

Do the lights by AC and REC (on the climate control) blink for a while when you first start the car?
Have you traced the toggle wiring?
Is this an Electronic Climate Control (has AUT as the left-most label on the fan slider)? If it is, have you tried taking things off of AUT and seeing what you can get?
I'm battling through issues with my 96 850 GLT wagon's climate control, and there seems like a lot that can go astray.
