Feeler: 1994 855 5 spd 270,000 miles

I've got a chance to pick up another car, for a daily driver, with less miles and am thinking of selling my wagon. It would be easier for me to just sell it rather than part it out but I can't help wonder what it might be worth since it has the M56 5 speed.
Are the M56 transmissions worth much?

The good: Mechanically it is in decent shape for that many miles. The engine and trans are solid. Starts and runs everyday. I take it regularly on hour + trips for parts and other things. I replaced the brakes with some I had sitting around: new cross drilled rotors and new pads last year. New rear shock mounts, new (used) alternator, new flame trap and new temp sensor. Sunroof works fine.

The bad: Just bought new lower control arm and ball joint and new strut mount for the passenger side. Needs to be installed yet. The A/C doesn't work. Worn engine mounts have caused the exhaust manifold flexible stainless steel web to weaken. Will be replacing those as well. Front drivers seat motor cable needs to be repaired.

I was thinking $ 1,000. Maybe I'm way off?

I'm going to try to sell it locally but if that falls through I was thinking the 5 speed was probably the most valuable thing on it...maybe. What do those sell for? Anybody?

A complete manual swap will go for like 600-700 if you've got everything sitting on the garage floor, pedals and all, ready to deliver. If the clutch is worn maybe less. You might find a buyer for the trans more easily over at Volvospeed.com.

I'd buy it, if shipping was less than ~$600. I knew it'd be around $500, but I hit that site just to make sure.

When the wagon gives up I'd do the trans swap into my T5. GLWS.

OK. I'm not sure which way to go with this. I'd like to part it but I don't know if I have the time. Anyone interested in the car as is minus the wheels and tires for $600?

Correction. I don't want the wheels. They can go with the car. I just want the tires. So if I can find other 15 inch tires to put on it I will swap them off.
