Hello,

I'm selling my 1997 850r wagon, red exterior black interior. 137xxx miles, always adult owned, mostly stock. The car has no rust, and in very good to fine condition. I have the records for work done on the car, it has been kept on the factory schedule. The car is NOT a city car, it has been in Chicago since last June, before that it was in Youngstown Ohio for four years then champaign, il since it was new. I have owned it since 2007.

New stuff within the last year or so:

New calipers up front
New rotors and pads all around ( the rotors are slotted (rear)and coated )
New axels
New wind shield (filled in rock chip cracked with defroster)
New tires ~3000 miles old ( just rotated to front)
New wires and plugs (new plugs every year).

New interstate battery
New water pump
New tb pulleys and tensioner
New tb
New serpentine belt
New tailgate pistons
New headlight lenses
New AC Blower motor
New AC resistor

The car has Volvo 850 cloth floor mats and Volvo rubber floor mats.
Volvo rear side window screens
Nearly flawless interior
Nearly flawless exterior
Clean title
Aftermarket top motor mount and the mount that attaches to the firewall
Boost gauge (auto meter ) in ipd mount can be removed
Drives likes dream, I'd take this anyplace anytime
Always ran on premium fuel.


concerns

Steering rack has small leak
Rear sway bar end plate has cracked and been repaired (not a noticeable )
Analog odometer stuck at 110375.
It has 137k and is 16 years old so it's in very good condition not show room.
Bright red paint shines but should be kept waxed

Me too! My 97 R was trashed just before Xmas, I just bought a 2005 V70Rand am fixing up the little things. Once I do that I'm going to sell it and if yours is still around w might make a deal.

BTW: Your wheels look nothing like the 3 R's I've had to date. Are they 16" GLT?

For that price do you feel inclined to fix the remaining "to do" list?

I'm open to negotiate. I might get two new tires for the rear. I was planning on getting it professionally detailed when somebody wants to buy it. I'm going to look into the steering leak and sort something out on that.

I don't have the window tag but I heard this too. I have the matched spare (new tire on spare in 09 or 10). They are 16" Perseus Volvo wheels. The car also has the Platinum edition rear side window screens.

I can meet up anyplace between Madison,Wi and Pittsburgh, PA (more or less).

Also checked the mileage yesterday with a scanner, it was 135,719 (in miles I know the scanner puts out Km).
