PS fluid leak at the tie rods

I only have experience with Mobil 1 synthetic ATF, this one:



My expectation is that any of those fluids mentioned would be good here. I also agree with Al it seems wise to drain the system to eliminate the 3309 mix just so you know what you have in there. I would probably first try a synthetic without stop leak (just because my habit is to add stop leak products if I don't have to), although knowing that if it still leaks with synthetic you will have to throw it away and try the stop leak.

Justin pointed to MIJ's draining PS method which indicated the system holds close to 1.5L.
It is my guess that the amount of fluid that leaked out from both ends was close to 400ml. The fluid level in the reservoir this morning if firmly at Add, garage floor is clear of any drop.

Looking ahead, I did some homework, Volvo parts says it offers DIYers a repair kit for $30.
Thinking about working with the sub-frame adds to my anxiety.

A local rebuilder asked me to look for rust spots, and there it was, the shaft is rusted.
Water got inside from the boot. I replaced the boot during the tie-rod job around thanksgiving, poor seal.
Only option is to replace the entire assembly.

Will i find problems in other placed as I take it down?

It is TRW, any replacement suggestion?

I have checked SRS at the dash before locking the wheel to a straight and from facing, it is working.
