Bulb Failure?

Hey everyone - hoping someone can help me out on this:

Just bought a 1992 (J reg) 440 GL with 54k on the clock for a bargain, and it's going lovely........except the 'bulb failure' light on the dash won't go out!

Checked all the bulbs and found that the NS side light/driving light(?) was blown so changed it as one would.

Now the bulb still doesn't work, and it's blowing the 7.5amp fuse.

Am I going to have to resign myself to the fact that I now need to trace an earthing fault or has anyone else suffered this annoying problem?
