I need to replace my driveshaft front U-Joint (really a CV) on my 98' V70 XC. I have the part which came in with a tube of hight temp grease and a tube of gel. Anybody know what to do with the gel . It looks like one would go in the boot, and the other into the front side of the joint but I can't be sure. Any experienced reply would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Drivesaft front CV Joint Lubricant, 98' V70
when i did mine..it was applied in both the boots (why are your boots clamped in already or loose?)

If it's blue, I'd say it's the lock tight for the axle end...whatever you do, don't put it in your cv joint. Btw, you really don't need an adhesive for the axle end...Volvo uses it and it makes the axle a pain to get out but most mechanics don't use it when they put it back in.
