I think Volvo says 105,000 miles on the XC90 timing belt. Mine has 82,000 miles, but I'm going to do mine later this year just to be on the safe side. I probably won't keep mine past 150,000 miles anyway. And in my above post about repairs, I wasn't talking about regular maintenance, like timing belts, oil, transmission fluid, brakes, and tires. Just clarifying.

Timing belt is perishable, so keep in mind its replaced after a certain time OR miles.
We went with an X5 in the end, bringing it in for a PPI on Monday all going well will take it home. '03 V8 with sport package. 76K miles on it, can't find an XC90 anywhere near that around these parts.
'04 XC90 2.5T AWD (Angus) 134K.
'99 S80 T6 (Medusa) 214k. On borrowed time LOL
'98 V70 T5 (Vivienne). RIP @ 228K. Spun rod bearings.

The X5 is a great drive, I' sure, like all BMWs, but not enough cargo space and utility for me.

Yep, we pulled out of the X5 deal to make a long story short. Now a 2.5T FWD XC90 is under consideration.
Buying cars is a PITA!
