Volvo 240 Drift build spectacular!

Post by Ghettobird »

Hi everyone

A few mates and I are going about working on some drift cars, an on the side hobby

So far, both of my team members have chosen old, beaten up BMW E30's, which I know for a fact to be great drift cars

Am crazy to want to drift an old 240?
I'm told they've got bulletproof drivetrains, indestructible engines and an overall great platform to work with.

I'm set on wanting a 240, there'd be nothing cooler than seeing one going sideways around a track, but which year, model and where to start baffles me

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

This guy says No (or is it ingen?).
I am not an expert mechanic, but I will attempt any repair. Worst case scenario is I screw it up worse than it was.

87 745 Turbo Intercooler...333k, all original!
96 850 Turbo wagon "totalled - parting out"
94 850 Turbo wagon waiting for tranny
2 94 855's gone
They're all gone now....

That's one sick ride, but i was hoping to keep, or put in one of the Volvo 240 turbo lumps to keep things a little more simple
