2001 v70 xc wagon radio plays thru center speaker

I just purchased a 2001 v70 xc wagon and the radio will only play thru the center speaker on the dash.. any tips or help would be great. this is my 1st Volvo so i am a little lost....and alot scared of taking it to the dealership... even more since i called them to find out what a dup key would cost 196.00..ouch..
