How did you remove the filter basket? I had my injectors out today and I pried and pried and got nowhere other than scratching the inside of the plastic...

I have a special tool for that, we will have them available for those interested. I think they are $9 or so.. pretty inexpensive for the whole routing with filters, orings, and tool :)

Hey Lucky, do you take good cores after sending good tested units. I know I need to do this at 150k, but I can't have too much downtime.

Cleaning the injectors in the ultrasonic bath (about $15/injector on Ebay) is a must on a vehicle that has not been driven regularly. When the fuel sits for long inside the injector, it will create a varnish which will deposit and restrict the flow.

When I bought my car I was getting 15mpg in city driving. I sent my injectors for cleaning and they measured a 14cc flow before cleaning and a 19cc flow after cleaning. I'm getting now 21mpg in city driving.

This kind of cleaning does not work with the injector cleaning products sold in stores.

Clean injectors definitely make a difference. Tried to clean them myself, but doing that they just sprayed a fat beam, no dispersion at all. So I bought a refurbished set on ebay, engine sounded different and it helped performance.
I doubt that cleaning them at home without the possibility to test them is much good, as you never know if they work as intended.
