1995 850 OBD-II port?

I'm trying to find the OBD-II port on my 1995 850, and I have read contradictory reports about whether it even has one.

Most people say to look under the coin holder in front of the shift lever, but my car doesn't have a coin holder, and there are no covers or caps anywhere in that neighborhood that look like they are designed to be removed. Also, I pulled out the radio and the ashtray and didn't see it in either of those places.

My car does have an under-the-hood pushbutton unit, but some people say that their 1995 850s have both.

Any ideas where to look, and what I am looking for? (I do know what the connector itself looks like.) I have an 1995 850 GLT with 5-speed manual transmission, built in Gothenburg in August 1994.

95 is a split year between OBD 1 and OBD 2
You probably don't have one

Rejoice and be glad, the obd ports under the hood are many times more useful.

Except when they stop working, like on my 95 ... but luckily it has OBD-II also!

And except when you want to install a ScanGauge, which requires OBD-II.

Run a VIN check on www.AutoCheck.com. Maybe your car is NOT a '95 model. Every '95 model I have seen has it.

95 really was a split year, as JRL has posted already. He's seen far more of these cars than anyone else on this forum. Some 95s have it, some don't.

By the way, here is a pic of the coin holder pulled out, with the OBDii plug visible below it.
