V70 SERVICE LIGHT

hi does anyone out there know how i can reset my service light if the normal way doens not work,,,,ie ign off,press n hold reset button,ign on,keep pressed for 10 secs,reset light flashes,then release reset button,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i get to the bit where it is supposed to flash but it doesnt flash,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,am i being really thick or is this a common prob,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks for any help

thanks for that,,,,,but quite a few people have said that you do not need any tool,and ther eare various sites that tell you the sequence to reset,,,,,,,,,,but it is not working on mine,,,,,,i need to know if anyone else has had the same prob and how they overcame it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks anyway ,,,,chris

ANJO is partially right and Matthew gives the link. The only 70 series you can't reset by just pushing some buttons is the '98. From '99 on you can do it without a tool.
