quick ETM test

To quickly test if your ETM is faulty, do the following:
- Open the hood
- Open the fuse box on the left strut
- take out the fuse for the ETM
- put the key in ignition position 2. The lights will go on on the dashboard.
- put the fuse back again.
- there should be one dry click followed by a high pitch tone for 6 to 12 seconds.(It does NOT guarantee that your ETM is 100% working)

Do this test with a cold engine, after a short drive and after you have been driving a long haul with airco full blown.

However, If there is a double click, a fluttering sound (coming from the butterfly flap within the ETM) or the high pitch sound lasts long, you ARE SURE you have a faulty ETM, so it is time to call XEMODEX or be courageous and try to repair it yourself.
