2007 XC70 passenger seat squeaking

Hi all,

It's been awhile since I've posted because A) I bought an old Mercedes, got distracted,fixed it up, and sold it, and B) the XC70 has been problem free.

Recently I've noticed when someone is sitting in the passenger seat, upon accelerating from a stand still or when going over certain bumps, the seat makes this annoying squeaking noise. If the seat is moved, it goes away for a bit, but then eventually resurfaces.

Will a simple lubing of the seat rails fix this or is there something loose?

Our 07 XC90 had this issue too. I'm wondering if it's a newer Volvo seat problem.

My drivers seat also does this on my '06 XC70, there is a Volvo TSB about it but I have been unable to dig up the details on how to fix this; anyone else care to chime in?

Would the dealership be aware of the service bulletin?
